Follow-up to the No Game No Life: Zero post

Hi all, here’s the follow-up post. First, we’ve got the picture of the promised poster:

No Game No Life Zero Poster.jpg
Shitty camera quality, can’t help it.

The poster is now proudly right in front of me, as I have stuck it onto the wall right in front of my computer, which is the item that I use the most. Well, another step towards weeb I suppose.

Short post, just a picture. Well, the poster collection journey by itself was pretty funny too but I guess that’s a story for another time.

Magnificent Manga No. 3: Kaguya-sama

Manga name: Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen

Chapters read: 83

MAL link:

Weirdly enough, it seems that my affinity with manga that have long names are quite high(see Yuusha ga Shinda & Yuuna-san). That aside though, pulling away from the more ecchi picks, on the third edition of Magnificent Manga, I shall be featuring the Death Note/Liar Game of rom-com manga: Kaguya-sama.

Now, don’t be mistaken: just because Kaguya-sama is a rom-com doesn’t mean it will have bad plot, as well as draggy chapters and many fillers. In fact, it is far from it. With that said, it’s time to dive into this manga.

Code: Realize: Here we go again

This is a drop post for Code: Realize: Sousei no Himegimi. Not exactly a rant post, because there really isn’t much to rant about.

Anime name: Code: Realize: Sousei no Himegimi

MAL link:

So, why did I drop the anime? Well, the anime seemed very impressive at the start: there was a relatively interesting premise, and the main character seems pretty unique. However, I’ve got basically the same complaint for this anime as I did for Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu: the basics are all there, but nothing is done about them. We spent 3 episodes watching them spin around in their mansion and gathering 1 new ally in the process, and in this fourth episode we get some things at last… but not before expositions and more set-ups. It was naturally slow already, but what got me disinterested was not exactly how the show is done, but more of how the characters, almost all of them, are left unexplored. I feel as if they are just hollow shells(pretty ones at that), and that’s not doing much for the show.

So, after barely sitting through episode 4, I decided to drop the show. It’s not bad, and you might like the show, but I didn’t really like it.

Final rating: 6/10
Verdict: “We need a plan.”

PARTY TIME!!!!! — I drink and watch anime

Round two! Here’s the first posts chosen by Irina and her group of volunteers. I read them both and liked them 🙂 Hope you guys will like them too!

OMG the time has finally arrived! I can’t believe it’s been a whole month already!!!!! OK, so in case anyone is new here, let me explain: last month I tried to get a project going which could serve as a platform of sorts to help smaller or newer aniblogs join in the community. The basic […]

Music you can’t stop listening to: Kyouran Hey Kids!!

Second edition of this series, and now we are moving onto one of the most loved songs to come out of anime: Kyouran Hey Kids!!. Personally, it also happens to be one of my favourite songs and I never ever skip the song whenever it pops up.

Song name: Kyouran Hey Kids!![THE ORAL CIGARETTES]

Anime: Noragami Aragoto (No reviews yet so MAL!)
Opening song

Now then, while playing the music from the music video above, let’s just analyse how good this song actually is.

Kyouran Hey Kids!! is probably one of the large part of why Noragami Aragoto was so good. It was so outstanding that you can’t really make a review of Noragami Aragoto without mentioning how good the opening song was, and praise the heck out of it.

The song itself drops a bomb on you from the get go. With the starting beat, which is strangely very compelling and makes you perk up instantly, THE ORAL CIGARETTES have already gotten your attention.

And it is this attention that they instantly make use off. With the opening phrase “Tonight, we honour the hero!” your ears are instantly assaulted(well, better worded as “treated to a meal of”) by the lead singer’s amazing soft yet powerful voice, followed by a guitar solo that is simply amazing.

After the introduction however, it only gets better. With the lead singers great voice singing coupled with the enchanting background track, you will find yourself drawn in like bee to honey. (in this case, it’s weeb to anisong, HA! I’m so funny)

And before you realised it, you would have shouted “Kurotte hey kids!” along with the singer. Well, at least I do. Another very catchy line in this song would be “Just wanna hold your hands”, which I won’t fail to sing along with.

And lastly, I don’t think I’ve complimented the guitar track enough. One of the biggest reasons why this song gets so catchy so fast is in a large part due to how good the guitar track is.

When you reached the end of the song, you will find yourself wanting to press that replay button so badly just to hear the great song all over again. Do it. Give in to your innermost desires and let your ears enjoy themselves. Come over to the dark side!

Well, another reason why this song is just so great is how much replayability it has. I don’t think I will ever get tired of hearing this song, and for literally no reason at all. Every time I hear it, I automatically perk up and my efficiency in whatever I do probably increases at least twofold(as I’m writing this post, I’m listening to the song over and over :P), and it just never gets old.

Let’s just talk about how much of a beast this song is in terms of popularity.

With over 25 million views on YouTube alone and the view count still steadily increasing despite the song being 2 years old, we can see just how popular this song is.

Well, THE ORAL CIGARETTES as a band is undeniably great afterall, as you will find out if you went to check out their other songs, such as Tonari Au for Sakurada Reset. Their songs are always great no matter the occasion, and I believe you will think so too after you finish listening to them.

Well, I’ll leave you guys alone for now, so you can go ahead and press on that replay button 😉 Careful of the time, as time really flies by when you listen to this song.

Oh right, this song is also made even better if you enjoy the context of it being the opening song for Noragami Aragoto. The talks about hero and the likes is just like Yato(I am a firm Yatonite) and just makes the song all the more enjoyable if you view it together with the opening animations from Noragami Aragoto.

Reading into Novels: Mushoku Tensei

Novel name: Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu(WN)

Chapters read: 259 + Conclusion volume (COMPLETE)

MAL link:

On this second edition of Reading into Novels, we will look at the only series that I fully finished so far: Mushoku Tensei. This was a truly wonderful series that left me feeling completely empty and hollow inside when I actually finished it, because it was just so good, I invested my whole into reading it. And now, to convince you people to read this amazing series that will probably never get an anime adaptation for reasons unknown, I will try my best to analyse its strengths and weaknesses as a novel.

Oops a daisy

You guys might have seen a notification for a new post pop up then disappear immediately. Well, I screwed up with the publishing, since that was a post that should come out sometime later as a scheduled post. Anyways, continue on your way, you will see the post again soon enough 🙂

Sorry about the inconvenience caused.

This is such an embarrassing mistake!

EDIT: To whomever the ninja is that actually read the post before I retracted it somehow, congratulations, you read it before anyone else.

Quick PSA and small update

Short and sweet:

Blog pages are updated, if you look above and click on the “A certain index”, you will find the new page there.

It’s almost december and yet I still have not caught up to the latest episodes of the anime for this season, so I’ll probably not be doing a mid season review for this season, and focus on the end season review for this season instead as well as the pre season preview for next season.

Sorry about that.

Oh, right, again, thanks so much for the support for all the new series I’ve been doing, such as the expansion into manga and novels. I will do my best to keep the quality up!
