Now that we’ve shown off a manga that I’ve been reading, why not move on and showcase a novel that I’ve been reading too? In this first edition of Reading into Novels, I will read into Lazy Dungeon Master’s strengths and weaknesses as a novel, and assess how good it actually is based on the chapters I’ve read so far.
To describe Lazy Dungeon Master in one sentence would be pretty hard, simply because of how this novel is a nice blend between slice of life, strategy and comedy all at the same time. So, let’s go into more details and break it down into it’s strength and weaknesses! Continue reading “Reading into Novels: Lazy Dungeon Master”→
Keeping to my promise, I will now start off the Manga section of my blog with a series I recently read: Yuragi-sou no Yuuna-san. It’s a wonderful series which combines ecchi, romance and comedy pretty perfectly while still maintaining an interesting plot.
This will be a short announcement about my upcoming Koe no Katachi afterthoughts. Due to how my feelings are a bit all over the place for Koe no Katachi, I went and thought about how exactly I want this to be done. After much thinking, I have decided. I will be doing the afterthoughts in 4 parts.
The first 3 parts will each be a semi-discussion about the three different topics that Koe no Katachi has displayed: bullying and getting bullied, disabilities and illnesses, self-confidence, social acceptance and friends. It will be mostly me talking about the content displayed by Koe no Katachi with regards to each topic and how it relates to me personally and emotionally. As such, there will be spoilers and personal experiences inside, and if you don’t want either one of those, you don’t have to read it.
The last part will be the actual afterthoughts, with minimum spoilers and without the content discussed previous, and will just be on Koe no Katachi as an anime itself.
And there you have it. Hope you enjoy what will come up 🙂
I would also like to once again thank the support given to me as well as the comments on the posts I have made. It shows that some people out there actually enjoyed my content. Thank you all!
DISCLAIMER: This will be short version of my thoughts on Koe no Katachi, as I am writing this right after I watched the movie, just to get some of my feelings out. A longer version will be up after I get my feelings together and have enough time to write.
So… where do I begin. Basically, this movie was amazing. It perfectly portrays something that is present in real life:bullying. The act of bullying is not something to be proud of, and the victims go through many suffering. We get to see the sufferings as well as how the people recover from them, with a twist. Without any spoilers, this is all I can tell you, but I can safely say that this definitely hits home in terms of feels. I won’t be able to write this out now, so I can’t explain, but I will do so in the long post after I collect my thoughts together. To end off this very very brief review, I will just put it in terms of ratings to make it much less messy to read and more understandable. Continue reading “Koe no Katachi is amazing.”→
